Nifco UK Receives Ford Q1 Award

Nifco UK Ltd, a subsidiary of Japan’s Nifco Inc. recently received a prestigious award from Ford Motor Company having consistently exceeded the stringent quality and delivery standards required of Ford’s component part suppliers.

 

Based in Teesside, Nifco UK supplies plastic injection moulded components to Ford group companies which include Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo, 50% being to Ford’s UK based engine manufacturing plants with the remainder being exported to Europe, USA, and the Far East.

Bratt commented on the position of Ford’s vehicles in today’s market having excellent consumer and reliability ratings and achieving numerous motoring press awards, he emphasised the crucial contribution of world class sub-suppliers such as Nifco UK in Ford achieving a market leading position. Mike Matthews praised the contribution from the business unit team at Nifco UK who are responsible for the design, development and manufacture of products for Ford Motor Company.

 

This is one of a number of accreditations awarded to Nifco UK Ltd as they strive for world class excellence in both quality and manufacturing efficiency to combat the threat of competition from lower cost regions, they currently hold the highest level standard for automotive manufacturing TS16949, environmental standard ISO14001 together with recent British Safety Council and HR awards.

 

Nifco UK supplies a range of plastic injection moulded components from its Teesside plant including interior and exterior trim parts, plastic fasteners and engine components, their customer base also includes Nissan, Toyota and Honda.
